Negin Farsad: Fighting Islamaphobia, Bigotry, & What Have You with Comedy
Student Union, the Muslim Student Association, the Arab Student Association, and the Intercultural Center present Negin Farsad!
A rising comic, Negin uses her identity as a Muslim woman to tackle social justice issues through a comedic lens. She produced, directed and performed in the Comedy Central series The Watch List which was the first show in the history of television to feature Middle-Eastern American comics tackling international political issues. She has also appeared on NPR’s “Wait, Wait Don’t Tell Me.” You can get a taste of her comedy by watching her Ted Talk entitled “A Highly Scientific Taxonomy of Haters.” (https://www.ted.com/talks/negin_farsad_a_highly_scientific_taxonomy_of_haters).
After performing her set, Negin will stick around to sign copies of her 2016 book How to Make White People Laugh.
