Farah Alsakhita
Farah Alsakhita is a second-year graduate student in the Communication department, a public speaking teaching assistant, and a graduate assistant in both the department of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and the Magnolia Scholars Program.

Nadia Marie Johnson
Nadia Marie Johnson is a second-year graduate student in the Department of Communication and Women’s, Gender, & Sexuality Studies. Her research utilizes a Black feminist and womanist lens to focus on Black womanhood and Black women’s image in the media as they battle racial barriers like colorism, desirability, and anti-Blackness. Nadia Marie currently serves as the WGSS social media coordinator, teaching assistant for Dr. Rowie, assisting with the Wake Speaks program and as a communication tutor for student-athlete services. She is also the Diversity & Inclusion Chair of the Graduate Student Association.
Nadia Marie is a proud Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, Lamba Pi Eta National Communication Association honor society, and Graduate School Honor Council member.
